The song goes "It's my birthday and I'm having a party...", but I'm Don and I like to build community networks!

I woke this morning to a rousing smile from my wife, following breakfast, coffee and a load of dishes (yes it seems we're human after all) it was off to the wholesalers for my birthday presents!

New usb wifi dongle posses my challenge for the day, get the linux drivers working for the new card.

I also learnt today just how much I had been relying on the skills of other clug members to help configure the test nodes.  

IPTables on Debian 3.1 chewed me up and spat me out today. 

I did have one birthday win thou, with the aid of Simon Knights wifi amp I was able to get another node talking to the Yobbo network this afternoon for some testing!
